Posted by John Siddle on November 3, 2008 9:04 AM |

Southport Theare is to host an evening of swing - with a festive theme - on Novermber 13.

Following the enormous success and popularity of Legends of Swing at theatres throughout the UK, and the revival of swing music, Eureka Productions has created a brand new show especially for Christmas.

Christmas Crooners features many of the Christmas favourites of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and 'ol blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra.

The audience can expect festive hits including "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire", "Little Drummer Boy", "White Christmas" and numerous swing arrangements of Christmas hymns. including "God Rest yYe Merry Gentlemen", "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Silent Night", along with many of their other hits.

The show is staged in the style of Andy Williams' christmas shows, complete with Christmas trees, a rocking chair, colourful decorations and full of Christmas cheer.

A show spokesman said: "Christmas Crooners is guaranteed to get you in the festive mood and sing along to great songs from Christmas past.

"So get in the Christmas mood early, and make it go with a swing."

Tickets are available from the theatre's 24-hour booking line on 0844 8472321.
